I aquired this locally straight from the original owners home approx 5 years ago. Nobody touched this except for him and myself. It is dead quiet with no background noises. No filter capacitor or resistor problems. Wonderful and warm sound that is also bright and powerful when expected. Outstanding PHONO stage. Sonically PERFECT. To the very best of my knowledge, it does not require any service or repairs. Super small noise when adjusting bass control only. Unless it's been replaced, they all make some noise. It is not brand new, nor is it mint. There are some tiny imperfections, none of which are intrusive. Just the lightest signs of use and a few very minor scratches. The original front glass is crisp and clear. All lettering completely legible. Comes with six matched vintage RCA 12AX7 USA tubes circa mid 1950's. These have just been tested on my TV-7d/u calibrated military tester. All read between 54 and 58. Ribbed plate halo getters. I do have lots of other tubes but these are dependable, run cool, and sound great. Completely Unspoiled and unmolested example.
